Eagle Project at Edsall Park Swim Club

posted Oct 21, 2012, 7:45 PM by Bryan Woodcock

Dear Donor or Prospective Donor,

First of all, my name is Danny Ehrlich, I’m 14, and I am an Eagle Scout candidate in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 980 out of St. John’s UMC in Springfield, VA.  To obtain this major stepping stone in my life, I must give leadership to an Eagle Project that will benefit the community. I live in Edsall Park, you own neighborhood, and I will be completing my Eagle Project at Edsall Park Swim Club, your community pool. For my Eagle Project, I will be positively benefitting your community by putting in five new outdoor sinks for the lifeguard shack and both bathrooms, installing an AED, putting on a new layer of paint, and updating the pool’s First Aid Kit.

I will need four outdoor sinks, a new or used AED, screws, and possibly some tools or rivets for this Project. I cannot buy these by myself, I need help. I will need donations to help my Project and benefit the community as a whole. I would like to ask you, as a member, for a donation for my Project. If you would be able to donate one of those supplies, but most likely a monetary donation, that would be great.

I would be honored and very excited if you would be able to donate. If you donate, you are not only helping my future and my Eagle Project, but also your local pool and community. As we know, these are tough times and people are having dark days, but the Boy Scouts of America is here to help. I am just one of many Eagle Candidates to help the nation and the community. In these tough times, communities and families are the bond that will never go away. When you help by donating, you are helping your community to bond and relax at a local place. So please, if you are able, donate to my Project. Thank you for your time!

Sincerely, Danny Ehrlich
